Frequently Asked Questions

Ensure the battery is charged using a USB-C power source. Allow at least 30 minutes of charging, then try turning the device on again. If the battery was fully drained, it may take a short time before the power indicator appears.

The Arctic cannot see through windows. Thermal devices detect the temperature of objects, so if they are pointed at a window, they will detect the heat signature of the glass. Open the window or move to a new position.

Make sure you are viewing a scene with temperature differences. Thermal imaging relies on heat contrast, so objects at the same temperature as their surroundings may be harder to detect. Try switching colour palettes or adjusting the heat filter settings.

Try adjusting the eye relief dioptre to fine-tune the image quality each time you use the device.

Thermal images may appear grainy in uniform temperature environments. This is normal. Slight movement, scanning different areas, or adjusting display settings can improve clarity.

The Arctic is IP65-rated and protected against rain and splashes. Dry the exterior before charging or storing the device.
